'Every Step of the Way' stands out as an ethereal musical experience, crafting a generous soundscape for a thought-provoking, nostalgic journey of self-exploration.

Through combining the intimacy of a personal monologue with the warm layers of ambient music, the composition's vulnerable theme of growth encompasses both the turmoil of the quest to understanding who you are and the balance that eventually comes with this understanding.

It is easy to think of the opening tune as the first phase of the becoming process. Mirroring the pressure and the uncertainty felt on the journey of self-discovery, the metallic experimental sounds complement the slurred voice of the composer`s grandfather, creating a dreamy yet eerie juvenescence of the story.

Grandfather`s recurrent voice serves throughout the tune as a familiar link in both compositions that becomes the guiding thread standing by her side during the process, throughout the struggle and until the soothing ending.

The second composition conveys a peaceful state of mind. The repetitive piano evokes a harmonic atmosphere of hope that gradually grows into a feeling of bliss. Her grandfather`s voice gets clearer with every piano note and wraps up, towards the end, the exquisite musical reflection on life and the meaning of it.
